Designed around a constraint
A measured connector, a specific device, a mounting surface. The geometry exists to solve something physical, not to sit in a render.
Nicholas Quandt / object library
Functional objects I designed and refined. Every entry is the real mesh: orbit it here, check its dimensions, or download the STL.

No objects match that filter.
02 / how these objects are made
Functional parts begin with a physical constraint: a measured connector, a device, a mounting surface. The downloadable mesh is the version that survived the iteration.

Clearances, wall thickness and fastener fit are checked on the machine. When a tolerance is wrong, the model changes and the part is printed again.
No locked preview file. The viewer loads the same STL that the download button serves, with its measured bounding box and triangle count.
03 / about this shelf
I build desktop software, device integrations and self-hosted systems. This site is the other workbench: parts modelled in OpenSCAD and CAD, printed in layers, then used until something needs changing.
The gallery is deliberately plain about provenance. Dimensions come from the mesh, triangle counts are counted rather than estimated, and every object can be downloaded as the original STL.
